flying high and feeling hopeful….

I boarded a plane today for Austin to check out an antiques show and scout for vintage pieces, and it felt good. So. Good. The sun was shining. The birds were chirping. I was going somewhere. I have always loved to travel, and these last months have been hard. A nomadic lifestyle is what I have always had. I traveled a lot as a child. Even if it was just weekend trips, my parents and grandparents were always taking us somewhere. When I got my car, I was never home on the weekends. I was always on the move. Traveling for fun; traveling for work; traveling for the sake of a change of scenery.

I am finally, for the first time in 13 months, feeling hopeful. I am hopeful in my new business venture. I am hopeful in the fact that travel is going to be a reality again. I am hopeful that this summer will reunite us with our friends and family who have only been accessible by FaceTime and phone calls.

Here’s to more travel and adventure for us all!!!
